My goal is for your child to  reach their full potential. 

I work with individual children, as well as entire families who are looking to make lasting positive changes in how they eat.  I understand that there are many challenges to eating well, and my focus is on providing solutions for you that work.

I will design an eating plan that can help improve these and other CONDITIONS:

  • Overweight
  • Underweight or failure to thrive
  • Restrictive eating practices
  • Food Allergies/sensitivities
  • Gastro-intestinal disorders 
  • Diabetes or pre-diabetes
  • Learning and growth challenges 

I will help your child achieve these and other GOALS:

  • Optimizing nutritional status
  • Getting to a healthy weight
  • Managing health conditions
  • Expanding food choices
  • For you – Learning to prepare simple meals to feed your family right

I will help you sort through the mountains of information on nutrition and health and give you information that has been shown to work!

Fees

I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina and will be happy to verify your family’s benefits for nutritional counseling in advance of your first appointment. For other health insurance carriers, I will give you a completed super bill for you to submit for reimbursement. Most health insurance plans cover nutritional counseling by a registered dietitian, a few plans offer very limited or no nutrition counseling benefits. Coverage may be limited to certain diagnoses, and in some cases either pre-authorization or a referral for medical nutrition therapy from your child’s primary care physician is required.  I am happy to communicate with your insurance company and/or your physician regarding your child’s health, nutrition, and insurance requirements.

Initial in-person consultation:

1 hour 15 minutes – 2 hours:  $150-$210 depending on length

Follow-up consultations:

60 minutes:  $120

45 minutes:  $90

Hours:

  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays
  • 12 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • Saturday mornings  from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
  • Evenings and Saturdays often book quickly
