Why I am the Right Nutritionist for Your Family?
I am a mother of three (now adult) children and I know what it feels like to want the best for your child. A nutritious diet is part of that, and nowadays is often easier said than done.
To that end, I became a registered dietitian/nutritionist at the age of 51 with the specific goal to help young families and children of all ages reach their full potential as they grow and develop.
I graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now part of Rutgers) with my RD certification, the College of Saint Elizabeth with a Master’s of Science in Nutrition, and the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition Research. Continuing to learn has always been very important to me and I stay up-to-date in the latest protocols and research in nutrition and health.
I love to cook a wide variety of foods with an emphasis on the healing foods that our ancestors valued such as broths, fermented foods, and wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and meats. I have coached children’s sports, been a Girl Scout Leader, and taught classes to children on nutrition and gardening in the public schools. These experiences have helped me understand how children learn and become motivated to make positive changes.
I appreciate the faith my patients and their parents place in my knowledge – it is always a privilege to be part of their lives.
